| | | Make-A-Wish visit to Disneyland puts a smile on the face of Polson ... | | Posted Monday, November 27, 2006 1:24:54 PM by Blog57 Team | | When she suffers a stroke, 12-year-old Cheyanne Coxen's eyesight becomes so terrible she cannot see well enough to tell you how many fingers you are holding in front of her face. You must understand that, in order to comprehend the joy that filled the lives of the Polson girl and her family last weekend. You must also understand that, sometime in the next six months to two years, the strokes that keep happening more frequently and rob Cheyanne of her eyesight and more, the strokes that all the doctors and medicines in the world cannot stop, are probably going to rob her of her life. Only then can you even begin to imagine how special it was for a 12-year-old girl to be able to see across a room. As her parents and sister and nurse watched, Cheyanne's eyes lit up and a smile spread across her face as the Disney characters entered.... | |

| | | Plastic finds its way to every spot on planet | | Posted Friday, November 03, 2006 3:45:10 AM by Blog57 Team | | Recently, while on vacation in France, we drove through yet another picturesque, quaint village. It was so pristine that if I didn't know better, I would have been sure it was part of a Disney-planned community recently constructed to look as though it was from the 16th century. We stopped to walk around and check out "Main Street." Sure enough, there was the typical cheese shop, bakery, barber, various clothing shops, a tailor, cobbler and brasserie. That's when I happened into a tiny needlecraft store. I was in heaven. I came across some beautiful French ribbon, the kind you know you will never see again as long as you live. I picked up a couple of other unique items and took them to the area at the front of the store that looked like the checkout. Trust me when I say I don't speak French.... | |

Why, they wondered, would you drag two 2-year-olds and a 4-year-old to an adventure park known for its over-stimulating rides and larger-than-life characters, a place deemed more suitable for kids far removed from diapers who can stay awake past 7 o'clock? ....

In the coming year, millions of travelers around the world will encounter and experience timeshare vacation ownership, fractional ownership, residence clubs, and condo-hotels. The upcoming years will bring about a new era in the timeshare industry; one that embraces branding, diversity, globalization, digital media, and more. Lawrence Hefler, a marketing and branding expert, and founder of Hefler International, is excited and passionate about reshaping the timeshare and vacation ownership industry. “Consumers will begin to realize new ways of how, when, and where the shared ownership messages for leisure and vacation products are delivered," Hefler said. “Innovative companies will engage customers throughout the online and offline experience, delivering clear and consistent messages across all consumer and guest touch points while building brand trust." Hefler's seven trends capture the new “brandstyles" that will transform the industry into the next decade: Demobrandics: Preview centers, sales galleries, and resort destinations will offer the alternative of self-guided, audio-visual tours that will give diverse audiences a clear and consistent brand and product message, at their own pace, and in the language of their choice....
