| Marriott Honeymoon Registry | | Posted Sunday, December 17, 2006 1:17:44 PM by Blog57 Team | | Do you ever receive a wedding invitation--and immediately wonder what on earth to get the couple that already has everything? According to a recent study by the Condé Nast Bridal Group, today's brides and grooms are getting married later in life--and already have many of the basics traditionally given to new brides and grooms. "Ninety-four percent of engaged couples plan to go on a honeymoon and 92 percent plan to go on that excursion right after their wedding, which indicates that honeymoons are on top of their priority list," said Elizabeth Lluch of WeddingSolutions.com, who has partnered with Marriott.... | |

| | | Forget the china, just give cash | | Posted Saturday, October 21, 2006 11:12:25 PM by Blog57 Team | | It was love at first sight for Kirsten Jorgenson and Jean Cummins of Tucson, Ariz. The couple met at a Fourth of July party in 2004, and after an intense 19-day courtship, Jean proposed to Kirsten. The two plan to wed in April. Like many couples, Kirsten, who is 26, and Jean, 46, had all the pots and pans they needed. What they really wanted from their wedding guests was money for a dream honeymoon to Scotland, where Jorgenson was born. Nichole Lynch-Cruz and her fiance, Unay Alba, will tie the knot in August. The bride is graduating from Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs in May and is hunting for a job overseas. She and Alba don't want to deal with storing or shipping wedding gifts. | | | The Lost Weekend... And A Bit... | | Posted Wednesday, October 18, 2006 1:15:39 PM by Blog57 Team | | Firstly, many apologies for the loss of coverage over the last five days or so. I can assure you all it was as frustrating for us and the boffins at Vital as it was you. Basically, some gremlins somehow snuck their way into the system and completely wiped the face of the network off the interweb last Wednesday. And despite the guys at Vital beavering away until all hours, it took them until today to finally sort the problems and bring the network back on to our screens. It was particularly frustrating for us as I was hoping this would be a big week for us ahead of the league clash with league leaders, but these things always seem to happen at the most annoying moments. However, I have now been assured that all the right hamsters are back in the right wheels and we should not have any such problems again in the future.... | |
